RETROFITTING A NEWSPAPER PRINTER INTO OUR NEW NET-ZERO OFFICE

For their new office, Flat Iron Building Group is transforming an old warehouse and newspaper printing facility into a net-zero building. This initiative aims to inspire and educate the community on reducing embodied and operational carbon emissions in the built environment. Inspired by our commitment to open knowledge sharing, inspiring communities to foster industry-wide improvement towards a sustainable future, individuals can access information on cutting-edge materials and technologies for emission reduction; including approved, proven and upcoming solutions. The space will bring together internal Flat Iron employees, architects, engineers, constructors, business leaders, environmental organizations, government and policy makers who are interested in sustainability initiatives to learn, share knowledge and experience a real world example of a deep retrofit project.
